Step by Step Procedure:

1. Take four separate containers and label them with the names of the liquids to be tested.
2. The first container will be left empty and labeled as a control.
3. In each of the remaining containers, pour enough water to cover the bottom by about an inch.
4. Add a small amount (about a tablespoon) of each liquid to its respective container.
5. Stir each container gently for a few minutes to help dissolve the liquid into the water.
6. Observe and record the observations after stirring. Note whether the liquid dissolved completely, partially, or not at all in water.
7. Repeat the experiment with different concentrations if desired.
