Step by Step Procedure:

  1. Set up a table with two columns: “Food Item” and “Ingredients.”
  2. Ingredients of some food items to gather the necessary information.
  3. Write the names of different food items in the “Food Item” column of the table.
  4. In the corresponding “Ingredients” column, list the ingredients required to prepare each food item, based on the information provided in Table 2.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all the food items listed.
  6. Review the completed table to observe the variety of ingredients needed for different food items.

Experiment Observations:

  1. Pasta:
    • Pasta, water, salt, olive oil, tomato sauce, garlic, and herbs are the ingredients required.
    • Pasta needs to be boiled in salted water until cooked al dente.
    • Tomato sauce, garlic, and herbs are used to prepare the sauce that is typically mixed with the cooked pasta.
  2. Sandwich:
    • Bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese, mayonnaise, and ham are the ingredients needed.

    • Mayonnaise is often spread on the bread slices to add flavor and moisture to the sandwich.
  3. Chocolate Chip Cookies:
    • Flour, sugar, butter, chocolate chips, eggs, vanilla extract, and baking soda are the ingredients for making chocolate chip cookies.
    • The flour, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and baking soda are combined to form a cookie dough.
